WARRIOR CENTRIC HEALTH EARNS CERTIFIED VETERAN’S BUSINESS ENTERPRISE™ DESIGNATION

Ellicott City, MD, April 5, 2019 – Warrior Centric Health is proud to announce that it has earned the exclusive designation as a Certified Veteran’s Business Enterprise™ (VBE) from the National Veteran-Owned Business Association. To be eligible for the designation as NaVOBA Certified VBE™, the applicant firm must be at least 51% owned, operated and controlled by one or more U.S. military veterans. At its core certification is a protection for both veteran-owned businesses as well as the corporations and organizations that do business with them.Warrior Centric Health® (WCH) provides the health care industry comprehensive solutions to complex health equity issues. Warrior Centric Health Solution Suite is the first of its kind to include accredited learning that addresses socio-cultural determinants of health in multiple generations of service members, veterans, and their families. Hospital systems that implement WCH Solution Suite tools can achieve alignment with the Mission Act, Community Benefit, and the AHA’s #123forEquity Pledge goals. In addition, health care professionals gain community and national recognition via WCH Veteran Health Certificates, Professional Badges, and a robust community outreach program.

According to Ron Steptoe, Founder and CEO of Warrior Centric Health, “By earning the  Certified Veteran’s Business Enterprise™ Designation from the National Veteran Owned Business Association, we will be able to help more veterans get the care they desperately need. This certification is a powerful incentive for healthcare professionals and institutions to commit to working with Warrior Centric Health and solve the veteran health crisis with WCH solutions.”NaVOBA’s VBE Certification ensures the firms that receive contracts are truly deserving of the opportunity.  “People can easily say ‘I’m a veteran-owned business’ when they really aren’t,” NaVOBA President Matthew Pavelek said. “Corporations will not risk the accuracy of their Supplier Diversity spending goals by recording spend on contracts with firms that say they are owned by veterans if they aren’t absolutely certain of the ownership, operation and control of that firm. Working with a third-party nonprofit organization like NaVOBA and its VBE certification program provides that certainty.”

About Warrior Centric Health

Warrior Centric Health® (WCH) is the nation’s first commercial health equity solutions provider, helping hospitals address costly readmissions problems by offering tools to provide more effective care for populations that account for disproportionate shares of readmissions.

The Warrior Centric Solution Suite® gives hospitals the means to meet the needs of military veterans and their families—close to a quarter of the entire U.S. population—who are affected by a wide and unique set of health issues that go widely untreated by the private healthcare systems, where 90% receive their healthcare. Healthcare institutions gain the ability to locate and treat these people more equitably, thus closing care gaps, reducing readmissions and delivering ROI, while “making hospitals heroes.”
