Sean Drake is the Founder & Managing Partner of Stony Lonesome Group where he serves as the Managing General Partner and Chief Investment Officer.
Stony Lonesome Group is a Venture Capital firm with $14m invested across 41 companies specializing in Mission Focused investing in Dual-Use technology. Fund II has a sector focus of Military Medicine, Healthcare & Veteran Care with a team of subject matter experts to include Special Forces Flight surgeons and private sector physicians. Stony Lonesome Group has multiple portfolio companies going through various stages of the FDA approval process for both drugs and medical devices. Fund III has a sector focus of Cybersecurity, Smart Data, and Artificial Intelligence and the SLG team includes the former CISO of the USAF.
Sean is also the Founder & Chairman of the Board for Pathfinder Solutions Group, a consulting firm focused on Go-To-Market strategies, sales, and government capture for Stony Lonesome Group portfolio companies. Pathfinder has developed specific expertise in Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Grant Funding that is often leveraged for the benefit of portfolio companies.Â
Sean was previously a high-performance coach at the US Olympic Training Center working with USA Cycling and USA Triathlon. He also served as an Infantry Captain in the US Army.Â
